Upon arrival into Maun, after completing immigration formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will by met and assisted with the scheduled charter flight to the Okavango Delta.  Upon arrival you will be met by a camp vehicle and transferred to Jao Camp, where you will stay for three nights.   Time permitting, enjoy lunch and an afternoon activity.

Jao’s position, amongst waterways and lagoons, yet close to dry Kalahari woodland, means you can enjoy both water and land experiences, depending on the time of year. There is no better way of viewing the Delta and its wildlife than by traditional mokoro (dugout canoe). At Jao we have a number of these – as well as two glass-bottomed mekoro for an entirely out of this world experience!

Morning and afternoon game drives are offered in open 4×4 Land Rovers each accommodating a maximum of seven people allowing each guest a window seat. A 45-minute boat ride from Jao Camp, you can enjoy a full-day game drive, along with a picnic, on wildlife-rich Hunda Island. Night drives with spotlights allow you to find those nocturnal animals you wouldn’t see during the day.

A raised hide located about 20 minutes from camp is a great place to watch the comings and goings of wildlife. The hide can also be used for sleep-outs for a maximum of four people at a time. The hide is equipped with a long-drop toilet.

Tucked under magnificent African ebony trees overlooking lush waterways, the Jao Spa is an enchanting setting where you can rest and feel utterly restored. Here, we offer a full menu of therapies from facials to manicures, and a range of massage options.

Fishing with a limited supply of basic equipment (spinner rods and a small range of lures) is on offer seasonally on a catch-and-release basis.

After a morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip by a camp vehicle for your scheduled charter flight to Windhoek.  Upon arrival, after clearing immigration formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the exit.  Here you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative and transferred to The Olive Exclusive Hotel, where you will stay for one night.

At a time to be advised: You will be collected from your lodge by an Alluring Africa representative and transferred by road to the Windhoek Airport for your scheduled charter flight to Damaraland.  Upon arrival you will be met by a camp vehicle and transferred to Desert Rhino Camp, where you will stay for three nights.  Time permitting, enjoy lunch and an afternoon activity.

Outings are geared at exploring this vast, miraculous ecosystem with some of the most knowledgeable guides in Namibia – and of course tracking the black rhino. Rhino tracking on foot and by vehicle is on offer here. We typically set out in the morning on game drive vehicles, behind the Save the Rhino trackers, who keep records on where and when previous rhino were seen. This enables them to track the rhino, although due to the vast terrain we sometimes drive long distances to view them. Once we have located an animal, tracking by foot can take place depending on the position or location of the rhino.

Game drives showcase the magnitude of the landscape and offer the best possibilities of seeing desert-adapted wildlife including rhino, elephant, giraffe, antelope, zebra and maybe even the area’s predators.

Learn more about the smaller flora and fauna that live in this incredibly harsh environment on a guided nature walk. Adaptation to the desert environment is the miracle of all that survives here.

Enjoy a full day outing with a picnic lunch. Travel amongst rolling, rocky hills with scattered euphorbia, ancient welwitschia plants, scrubby vegetation and isolated clumps of trees through the 450 000-hectare Palmwag Concession and search out the fascinating desert-adapted wildlife of the region.

Birding enthusiasts are sure to enjoy the diverse avifauna found in the Palmwag Concession. Key species to look out for include Rüppell’s korhaan, Benguela long-billed lark and possibly Herero chat with some focused searching. Verreauxs’ eagle is often sighted around rocky hillsides.

After a morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip by a camp vehicle for your scheduled charter flight to Ongava Game Reserve.  Upon arrival you will be met by a camp vehicle and transferred to Anderssons Camp, where you will stay for three nights.  Time permitting, enjoy lunch and an afternoon activity.

Enjoy two full days of game viewing activities at Andersson’s Camp.

Etosha is Namibia’s premier game viewing destination. Large herds of plains game concentrate around the waterholes in the dry season, making for exciting wildlife viewing. Most general game are present on Ongava Reserve as well as within Etosha, including springbok, gemsbok, wildebeest, Burchell’s zebra, Hartmann’s mountain zebra, waterbuck, red hartebeest, giraffe, eland and the endemic black-faced impala. Lion move between the Park and the reserve and both black and white rhino can be seen. Birding is also good with Ostrich, Kori Bustard and raptors like Greater Kestrel in abundance. Local specials include Short-toed Rock-Thrush, Namaqua Sandgrouse, Double-banded Courser, Yellow-bellied Eremomela, Spike-heeled Lark and Acacia Pied Barbet.

Wake up at 5:30 am for a continental breakfast before departing for Etosha National Park for the morning game drive. Return to camp for lunch and a siesta before an afternoon walk on the Ongava Game Reserve. Return to camp by sunset, to freshen up for dinner. After dinner, take a night drive on the Ongava Reserve.
