Day 1

WELCOME TO AFRICA!!!

On arrival into Cape Town International Airport, you will make your way to FIRST CAR Rentals and pick up your vehicle that will be used for your 10 day adventure. Nissan Qashqai (or similar – automatic)

You will make your way to the Victoria and Alfred hotel. Your home for the next 4 nights.

Framed by the ocean and Table Mountain, the elegance and comfort of the Victoria & Alfred Hotel is rivalled only by its relaxed atmosphere and warm personal service. Built in 1904 as the North Quay Warehouse and converted in 1990 to a luxury hotel, it is named in honour of the Queen of England and her son who visited the Cape in 1870, when Prince Alfred officially opened the Breakwater basin, today’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Day 5

Today you will depart the Victoria and Alfred Hotel and make your way to the Historic Town of Franschhoek. Why not stop en-route and enjoy a lunch in one of many of the beautiful vineyards in the area,

You will then make your way to Mont Rochelle Hotel and Vineyard where you will spend 2 nights.

Mont Rochelle is Sir Richard Branson’s South African Hotel & Vineyard and the latest addition to the Virgin Limited Edition collection. Mont Rochelle is located in Franschhoek in the Western Cape Province in South Africa. There are 22 bedrooms at Mont Rochelle including six spacious suites, and the grounds cover 39 hectares (about 100 acres). Each room includes en-suite bathrooms, under-floor heating, air-conditioning, an entertainment system and refreshment facilities. The property has two restaurants, a cosy bar, meeting rooms, a spa, a gym and an outdoor pool. And not forgetting a 37 hectare vineyard and wine cellar of course!

There are plenty of options for dining at Mont Rochelle, from picnics in the great outdoors to relaxed lunches in our wine cellar kitchen to gourmet dining at our main restaurant. You can also order a refreshing cocktail from our bar and find a comfy space on the terrace to watch the sun set.

Activities at Mont Rochelle include personalised wine tasting at our wine cellar on the property, horse riding – you can even combine horse riding with wine tasting, picnics on the grounds, mountain biking as well as children’s activities.

Day 7

Today your Garden Route adventure begins. After check out you will embark on a journey that is rated as one of the most scenic and beautiful in all of Africa. Route 62 is the route you will be taking.

Your drive will be taking you to your first stop along the route, Oudtshoorn. Here you will be spending the night at the magnificent Altes Landhaus Hotel.

Altes Landhaus’ country lodge is a stately Cape Dutch style homestead, cradled in the fertile Schoemanshoek valley of South Africa’s Little Karoo. Lovingly furnished with tasteful Victorian antiques, Altes Landhaus combines historic charm and a tranquil, African country atmosphere to offer splendid accommodation in country comfort.

The homestead’s magnificent gardens are evidence of a climate which boasts 360 sunshine days a year. Summer hues, fragrant scents and the dry, hot Karoo air provide an intoxicating backdrop for the clear turquoise waters of our salt-water swimming pool, tucked away in a tranquil corner of the homestead’s garden, and features a friendly pool bar. Leisurely walks around the scenic grounds of Altes Landhaus provide many an opportunity to admire the indigenous birdlife.

Day 8

Today you make your way towards Plettenberg Bay / The Craggs. En-route we suggest a lunch in the Waterfront of Knysna before heading to Hog Hollow your home for 2 nights.

A Private Nature Reserve on the edge of indigenous forest with breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and Tsitsikamma Mountains. It is the perfect place to explore the garden route, or unwind, lazing in the warmth of the African sun at the 15 meter long blue pool or in your hammock. Fifteen individual suites set in the gardens surrounding the main house offer superlative views over forest and mountains. Fireplaces, hammocks, vibrant colors with locally crafted artifacts create comfortable, stylish accommodation.

Well known for it’s delectable food and friendly, personalized service. Scrumptious dinners and breakfasts are served. Complete with a Hog Hollow picnic basket, enjoy the day boating up the river, or take an extraordinary marine tour of our bay, lounge on the long silvery beaches, canoe, take a glider flight or walk through pristine nature reserves – the list is endless.

Today is at leisure to enjoy the town of Plettenberg Bay. We suggest a lunch at BRAMON WINES RESTAURANT. A great venue to enjoy some of the magnificent wines of the region.http://www.bramonwines.co.za

Day 10

Today is departure day. You will make your way to Port Elizabeth Airport where you will drop off your vehicle and catch your flight to OR Tambo International Airport.

On arrival into OR Tambo International Airport, you will make your way to check in for your connecting flight to Hoedspruit Airport.

On arrival into Hoedspruit, you will be met by a representative of Alluring Africa (Ilios Travel) and will be taken to Dulini River Lodge, your home for the next 3 nights.

Nestled in the shade of a grove of Ebony trees and on the banks of the Sand River, you will find 8 individually designed and decorated ultra luxury suites As your eyes gaze into the nearby savannah, magnificent views from your private patio enhance the experience. Relax on the private deck of your suite while viewing a herd of elephants in the river below or perhaps a hippo surfacing in the waters. Magnificently positioned lounges and dining areas overlook the Sand River and compliment the finest cuisine. Teak furniture, deep sofas covered in rich linens and ornaments from the furthest corners of Africa create a welcoming and relaxed ambience.

Day 13

Today you magical Safari Adventure comes to an end. After breakfast you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative (Ilios Travel) and will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport for your connecting flight to OR Tambo International Airport.

On arrival in OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative (Ilios Travel) and walked across to check in desk for your flight to Vilanculos Airport.

On arrival into Vilanculos you will be met by a Santorini lodge representative and taken to Santorini for your 4 night stay.

*** a VISA is required for Mozambique and can be collected on arrival ***

Santorini is located a few kilometers north of Vilanculos on its own stretch of beach overlooking the Bazaruto Archipelago. The villa rests on an elevated point surrounded by dense coastal vegetation, owning unparalleled views and privacy.

Island hop, snorkel, laze in the warm Indian ocean or around the courtyard pool dreaming of dinner, prepared by your personal chef.
