Full Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1
On arrival into Johannesburg, after clearing customs and immigration, proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative who will assist you to the Intercontinental Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport Hotel where you will stay for one night.
Day 2
After breakfast, make your way to the terminal for your scheduled regional flight to Victoria Falls Airport. On arrival, after clearing customs and immigration, proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative for your scheduled road transfer to Elephant Camp where you will stay for two nights. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon activity.
Situated on a private concession within the Victoria Falls National Park and bounded by the Masuwe River and the Zambezi gorges, The Elephant Camp has breathtaking views of the Victoria Falls’ spray, and the spectacular gorges which separate Zimbabwe and Zambia. The Elephant Camp is a luxury and intimate lodge under canvas within easy reach of Victoria Falls and all its attractions and activities.
Day 3
The Elephant Camp overlooks a waterhole that is fed by natural streams in the rainy season that rush down to meet the Masuwe River, and the Zambezi gorges below the Falls. Here are some activities that are included. Your schedule will be prearranged according to your interests.
Guided tour of Victoria Falls: After a briefing and explanation of the Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, your guide accompanies you along the 1.7 kilometre scenic pathways of the rainforest, stopping at numerous viewpoints to gaze at the Falls.
The camp offers close interaction with wildlife, in particular, meeting the Wild Horizons elephants at the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary. This intimate experience allows you to spend time with and learn about the elephants with their caregivers.
Interaction with Sylvester the cheetah (this is activity is available at the mangement’s discretion).
A village tour – you will be transferred to a rural village where you will see local villagers going about their daily tasks and interact with them. The tour enables you to see rural Zimbabwean life firsthand.
Sundowners at the Batoka Gorge: Enjoy a short transfer to a scenic spot on the concession overlooking the Gorge and surrounding bushland. This is the perfect spot for sundowner drinks and snacks. A selection of beverages and tasy canapés are provided.
Lunch at the Lookout Café (Including drinks): Enjoy complimentary transfers and the fully inclusive use of the Lookout Café. Perched 120 metres above the turbulent rapids of the Zambezi River, the café overhangs the spectacular chasm of the Batoka Gorge, just down from the iconic Victoria Falls Bridge, which forms part of its backdrop.
Time permitting you may take the hotel shuttle into Victoria Falls Town.
All other activities on offer in Victoria Falls area are available at an additional cost. Selected Spa Treatments available in the privacy of your suite (subject to availability, on request at an additional charge).
Day 4
This morning after breakfast, make your way to the International Airport for your scheduled regional flight to Harare, Zimbabwe (your hotel is located at the airport and you are walking distance). On arrival, you will be met and assisted to your scheduled charter flight to Ruckomechi Camp where you will stay for three nights. Arrive in time for a late lunch and an afternoon game activity.
Day 5
Enjoy two full days of game viewing activities at Ruckomechi Camp. Situated on the western boundary of the iconic Mana Pools National Park, Ruckomechi Camp is a photographer’s paradise, whether in a vehicle, on a boat or on foot.
Mana Pools National Park lies at the heart of the Zambezi Valley, a remote, beautiful place with spectacular views. The area offers large concentrations of buffalo and elephant, while predators such as lion, wild dog, leopard and cheetah are often sighted. Greater kudu, Burchell’s zebra, impala, warthog and common waterbuck can be seen on the surrounding plains and the grunting of hippo can be heard all day. Birdlife is superb, with numerous local specials like collared palm-thrush and racket-tailed roller.
Game drives early in the morning or late afternoon take place in open Land Rovers in the private concession as well as the National Park, accessing a diversity of habitats, and therefore a wide range of wildlife.
River cruises down this stretch of the Zambezi River are in nine-seater pontoons or in a six-seater speed boat. Canoes are a more adventurous option to see the large numbers of waterbirds and other wildlife that are attracted to the river and seasonal pans.
Mana Pools National Park is a remote, beautiful place that is best experienced on nature walks led by a professional guide. This thrilling way of exploring the surrounding bush often heralds many exciting sightings.
A star bed can be booked for tonight (must be prebooked as this is subject to availability). The romantic star bed is situated near a productive waterhole. There is no better way of falling asleep than being serenaded by the sounds of nature while you gaze up at the starry skies of Africa
Day 6
Day 7
After breakfast and a morning activity, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Linkwasha Camp where you will stay for three nights. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon activity. Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe’s largest and most popular national park; our private concession means that sightings of the prolific wildlife are exclusive and private.Hwange’s mix of different veld and landscape types means that game viewing is productive year-round. Wildlife frequently encountered in our area includes lion, large herds of elephant, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, spotted hyaena, giraffe, sable, blue wildebeest, impala, waterbuck and reedbuck. In summer, wildebeest, zebra and eland are found in abundance on the open plains, while in winter elephant congregate in enormous numbers around the waterholes.
Day 8
Enjoy two full days of game viewing activities at Linkwasha Camp.
Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe at 14 651 km² with varied habitats and vegetation types – meaning that game drives are exciting with always something new to be seen. During night game drives you can see nocturnal species such as lesser bushbaby, spotted hyaena, leopard, lion, Selous mongoose, pangolin, caracal, porcupine, scrub hare, springhare and even honey badger.
An authentic village experience takes place in a manner that is respectful to all parties. Usually around four hours and guided by one of the local villagers or a Wilderness guide, it often includes a guided tour of the school, meeting the headman or headwoman and enjoying cultural exchanges with the villagers.
Hwange was proclaimed some 80 years ago and has served as a haven for one of the densest concentrations of game in Africa. There is no better way to experience this park than on foot with one of our experienced safari guides on a walking safari.

At a time to be advised by the camp management, you will be transferred to the Victoria Falls Airport for your scheduled regional flight to Johannesburg Airport. Connect with your ownard flight arrangements.
