Full Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1
Upon arrival in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, collect your luggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will be met by your guide for your private transfer to the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel where you will be staying for the next two nights.
Spend the afternoon settling into your hotel and prepare for your welcome dinner.
Dinner reservations have been made at a local restaurant where the food is still prepared according to the original recipes from the 16th century. The restaurant owner is very passionate about food and wine pairings and will guarantee the best culinary experience Zagreb has to offer.
Day 2
After breakfast, your day will start with a cup of coffee in the oldest coffee shop in Zagreb. Croatians are sensitive about their local coffee and drinking in coffee shops is an important part of their culture. Once coffee is complete, continue on to meet your local guide and explore the city.
In the afternoon, depart to the Croatian Zagorje region through lush vineyards to visit the Bolfan Winery. During your tour you will have the opportunity to participate in a traditional grape harvest and learn about their wine making process.
Dinner and wine tasting will be paired perfectly with traditional folklore and music at the winery.
Day 3
After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby and set out to the National Park Plitvice Lakes. This park contains sixteen lakes that are inter-connected by a series of waterfalls. The local guide will show untouched nature, beautiful waterfalls, and the deep woodland populated by various rare bird species, deer, bears, wolves, and boar.
After visiting NP Plitvice, we have arranged dinner reservations at a local favorite, Licka Kuca.
In the evening, continue on to Zadar where you will be spending the next three nights.
Day 4
After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel for a sightseeing tour around Zadar. You will walk through the ancient Forum, local monuments, palaces, the church of St. Donat, the Square of Five Wells, and the Sea Organ.
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure to explore and enjoy your hotel.
In the evening, reservations have been made at Royal Vineyards for dinner and wine tasting.
Day 5
Enjoy breakfast and the morning at leisure.
In the afternoon, your guide will escort you to a private yacht where you will sail around NP KORNATI. The archipelago contains 140 islands in 114 square miles.
After sunset you will be served a gala dinner on the boat in the company of the President of Crolicious, the Croatian Wine Association. They will hold a presentation about Zadar wines and pair them with the served food.
Once the meal is complete, your guide will pick you up to return back to your hotel.
Day 6
After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby and depart to Dubrovnik, one of the worlds most stunning holiday destinations.
En route you will stop in Etnoland Dalmati and visit the Dalmatian hinterland, Pakovo Selo. After a sacred Dalmatian welcome ceremony you will enter the village and listen to the ancestors and history of the Dalmatian customs and traditions.
The Etnoland Dalmati will offer indigenous Dalmatian food and drinks such as “Drniški pršut” prosciutto, and traditional wines.
After lunch continue to Dubrovnik and check into your hotel where you will spend the next five nights.
Day 7
Begin the day meeting with your guide for a breakfast tour of Dubrovnik. The guide will share hidden streets and walk through a unique view of Old Town.
Your afternoon and evening are open to spend at leisure.
Day 8
After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby to depart to Ston, a small Medieval town with the largest stone wall in Europe. The bay of Mali Ston is famous for it’s high quality of oysters. Meet with a local oyster farm for oyster tasting.
After your oyster tasting continue to Pelješac peninsula, the most significant wine region in Croatia. You will tour Grgić Vina and meet with the legendary winemaker Miljenko “Mike” Grgich. They make the finest wines from native Dalmatian grapes and concentrate on crafting the best Plavac Mali (red wine) and Pošip (white wine).
After the wine tasting, reservations have been made at a local restaurant for an early dinner.
Day 9
Enjoy breakfast and the morning at leisure.
In the afternoon you will be taken to a local villa where a private supper dinner will be served. Local chefs and the wait staff will focus their full attention on preparing the best Croatian dishes just for you. The meal will be complete with live music from a local band.
Once the dinner is complete, enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 10
After breakfast you will meet your driver for your private transfer to the airport for your flight back to the states taking home with you priceless memories and the sights, smells, and tastes of Croatian cuisine!
