Upon arrival into Cape Town, you will be met and assisted through immigration and customs formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall.  Here you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative for your private road transfer to More Quarters Hotel where you will stay for four nights. 

Today you will go on a Private Full Day Peninsula Tour. 

We make our way along the Atlantic seaboard passing Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Clifton. Bakoven and Llandudno, with their ghostly shipwrecks, are also fantastic sights on the way to the fishing village of Hout Bay, where we board a boat to view the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island (weather permitting).

From here we navigate the 114 curves of 600m high Chapman’s Peak Drive. We then explore the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park, home to fabulous birds and very special fauna, such as Cape mountain zebra, bontebok and the charismatic Cape baboon. Climb (or ride the world’s first environmentally friendly funicular) to the famous Cape Point Lighthouse to capture the magical vistas of False Bay.

After lunch, we visit Boulders Beach to see the penguins, and then head home through the naval village of Simonstown and over scenic Boyes Drive, taking in the views of the fishing harbor at Kalk Bay and the seaside havens of St James and Muizenberg.

To round off your day you can take a stroll through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain.

Today you will enjoy a Private Full Day City, Table Mountain and Robben Island Tour. 

You will depart from Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront by ferry for a 25-minute trip across Table Bay to Robben Island. Led by guides, some of whom were once inmates, the tour of this World Heritage Site, and South Africa’s most revered national monument, includes the Prison Block and the now infamous Limestone Quarry, where political prisoners were once forced to toil. It also comprises a drive around the island, with its breath-taking views across the bay.

You will then return to the V&A waterfront for a trip along the picturesque Atlantic Seaboard and lunch at a local restaurant en route. You continue past sunny Camps Bay, over Kloof Nek to Table Mountain’s Lower Cableway Station. 1 067 metres above sea level, Table Mountain affords bird’s-eye views of both the city and Peninsula, as you explore its summit.

You will return to the city via the old Cape Malay Quarter, for a walk through the Company Gardens, a fresh produce garden for ships and locals from the mid-17th century, and now home to the SA Museum, Houses of Parliament, National Gallery and St George’s Cathedral. From there you will be driven to the Castle, South Africa’s oldest building, with its large collection of Old Cape paintings. Take in the nearby Grand Parade, where Nelson Mandela addressed the nation on his release in 1990, and then lastly you will move on to the District Six Museum.

After breakfast, you will be collected for your private road transfer to Le Quartier Francais in the Winelands where you will stay for three nights. 

Today you will go on a Private Full Day Winelands Tour. 

Depart the city for the winelands in the nearby Boland Mountains for a leisurely exploration of historic towns, liquid delights, gastronomic wonders and home-grown hospitality. The Cape Winelands are some of the most beautiful in the world, with a heritage that lives on in beautiful, historic estates producing some of the world’s most celebrated wines.

There are a variety of route options that take in the historic wine regions of Constantia, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek, or the more emergent areas like Walker Bay, the Swartland and Worcester.

Learn about the industries colourful history and traditions and savour the wonderful wines that showcase the unique terroirs of the Cape in a myriad of styles, from classic old world favourites to fruit-driven “early drinking” new world wines. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch at one of South Africa’s top restaurants, paired of course, with the regions finest wines.

Enjoy the day to explore the Winelands. 

Resting at the foot of the Boland Mountains, the Cape Winelands is a renowned for producing some of the world’s finest wines. The breathtakingly beautiful landscape boasts incredible mountain scenery and numerous luxury wine farms laden with vineyards stretching across lush fertile valleys. Visitors can look forward to a variety of wonderful activities including: exploring a collection of historic little hamlets and towns dotting the countryside, sampling a wide selection of world-class wine at a historic Cape Dutch farmstead as well as many other wine estates; and enjoying a network of hiking and biking trails traversing the picturesque landscape. While the wine is undoubtedly the highlight of the region, visitors can also enjoy a meal at some of the country’s best restaurants offering delicious food and wine pairings.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled charter flight to Skukuza.  Upon arrival, you will be met for your private road transfer to MalaMala Camp where you will stay for four nights. 

Time permitting, arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon activity. 

Enjoy three full days of game viewing activities at MalaMala Camp.

There are no typical days at MalaMala – each is different based on the wild animals and the guest’s interests.

A 5:30 am wake-up call by your ranger heralds the dawn. Meet your ranger and safari companions at 6:00 am on the safari deck as the sun rises over the bushveld for a light breakfast before heading on on the morning game drive. Game drives are conducted in open 4-wheel drive safari vehicles in the 40,000 acre private reserve. The rangers are in constant radio communication with one another to keep each other informed about the location of wildlife. Headsets are used for this purpose so as not to interrupt the sounds of the African bush. 

Not only are you sure to see the Big Five, but you will also leave with a deep understanding of the complex ecology that envelopes this great landscape. One of the oldest and best known camps in Kruger National Park, the MalaMala Main Camp rings with African authenticity in each of its thatched bungalows.

At approximately 9:30 am, you will return to camp where a hearty breakfast awaits you in the air-conditioned dining room or on the expansive safari deck.For the more energetic, join the bush walk after breakfast. 

Once again meet at 4:00 pm for hot and cold beverages and a light snack on the expansive safari deck before departing on another unforgettable game drive. A cooler box with the veritable sundowners are carried on the landrover and a consensus amongst your fellow safari-ites will determine whether the G & T is worth more than the leopard sighting! An African sunset is memorable and oft emotional sight. Night drives, with the aid of powerful spotlights, bring the bush to life at night. As darkness approaches, your ranger will scan the bush with a powerful spotlight and will point out the elusive nocturnal wildlife – a highlight of the day’s safari. As darkness settles over the bush, look out for the Milky Way – a truly spectacular sight – or try to find the Southern Cross.

Return to camp at approximately 8:00 pm, allowing time for you to freshen up before meeting your friends and rangers for pre-dinner drinks in the cozy safari bar. Dinner is served at 9:00 pm in the reed enclosed “boma” under an ancient Jackalberry tree. Alternatively, when the weather is suitable, a candlelit dinner is served on the safari deck overlooking the Sand River. While seated around a log fire under the starry African sky, enjoy the superb food and excellent wines.

After a breakfast and a morning activity, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight to Cape Town.  Return home, taking with you the sights, sounds, and memories of an incredible African adventure!
