Full Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1
On arrival after clearing customs and immigration, proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative for your private road transfer to Bushmans Kloof where you will stay for three nights. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon at leisure.
Day 2
Bushmans Kloof is a place of natural wonder where guests may indulge in an infinite range of exhilarating activities, or do absolutely nothing but inhale the beauty and tranquillity of nature. A South African Natural Heritage site, it boasts an abundance of indigenous flora and fauna, including many endangered species, and is home to over 150 kinds of birds, 750 plant species and over 35 species of mammals, including the rare Cape mountain zebra.
A host of enriching, relaxing and invigorating experiences are on offer, including educational talks at the Heritage Centre, and guided walks to some of 130 ancient Bushman rock art sites that are found in the reserve. This provides an extraordinary opportunity to gain deeper insight into the fascinating history of the Bushman in the Cederberg wilderness area. Guests may also participate in an assortment of exhilarating outdoor activities such as nature drives, botanical walks, mountain biking, archery and fly fishing.
The intimate Spa provides welcome sanctuary with an inspiring holistic healing and wellness focus deeply rooted in nature, offers solace for body, mind and spirit. Succumb to the peaceful sounds of nature at the riverside Spa Gazebo and lose yourself in a timeless world of luxury and comfort in this captivating wilderness reserve.
Day 3
Day 4
This morning you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the 12 Apostles where you will stay for four nights. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon at leisure.
Day 5
You will be collected from your hotel and taken on a Private Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour. We make our way along the Atlantic seaboard passing Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Clifton. Bakoven and Llandudno, with their ghostly shipwrecks, are also fantastic sights on the way to the fishing village of Hout Bay, where we board a boat to view the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island (weather permitting).
From here we navigate the 114 curves of 600m high Chapman’s Peak Drive. We then explore the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park, home to fabulous birds and very special fauna, such as Cape mountain zebra, bontebok and the charismatic Cape baboon. Climb (or ride the world’s first environmentally friendly funicular) to the famous Cape Point Lighthouse to capture the magical vistas of False Bay.
After lunch, we visit Boulders Beach to see the penguins, and then head home through the naval village of Simonstown and over scenic Boyes Drive, taking in the views of the fishing harbour at Kalk Bay and the seaside havens of St James and Muizenberg.
To round off your day you can take a stroll through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain.
Day 6
You will be collected from your hotel and taken on a Private Full Day Winelands Tour. Depart the city for the Winelands in the nearby Boland Mountains for a leisurely exploration of historic towns, liquid delights, gastronomic wonders and home-grown hospitality.
Wine estates visited will vary according to client preferences, but the tour generally includes the region’s major wine producing areas of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek, and there are chances aplenty en route for tastings of world-renowned reds and whites, as well as Cap Classiques – South Africa’s answer to “Champagne”.
Lunch at one of the many classic, award-winning restaurants in the area.
Natural and historic heritage abounds in this area and your tour may take in sights like the Afrikaans Language Monument with its panoramic Boland views. Idyllic Franschhoek, nestled in a valley settled by French Huguenots in 1688, is a delight for both antique lovers and gastronomes alike. Stellenbosch, South Africa’s second-oldest town, provides another glimpse of classic 17th-century Cape style, with a chance to browse quaint Dorp Street and the many museums, galleries and shops of this lovely university town.
Day 7
Enjoy a day at leisure.
Catch the “Hop-on-Hop-Off” bus to the cable way for a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain, or if you are feeling energetic, and want to stretch your legs, you could take one of the hiking trails up and come down by Cable Car.
Walk past loud blubbery seals sunning on the pier and take the ferry to Robben Island to visit former South Africa president, Nelson Mandela’s prison cell. Go on a township tour to experience traditional “Cape Flats” life and African culture and cuisine.
Within easy reach of your hotel, the V&A Waterfront offers world class shopping and entertainment opportunities such as diving at the Two Oceans Aquarium, the SA Maritime Museum, clay pigeon shooting cruise with Tigger 2, harbor cruise or a sundowner cruise, helicopter flip, and more.
Sit in one of the relaxed bars that line the Victoria Waterfront and listen to the numerous languages and dialects that fill the air. Sample the delightful cuisine, and discover a sensational blend of flavors as diverse as its cosmopolitan influences. No matter how you choose to experience Cape Town, the Mother City’s unique embrace promises to hold you in her clenches for years to come.
Day 8
On arrival, you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative for your road transfer to Phinda Mountain Lodge where you will stay for three nights. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon activity.
Enjoy two full days of activities at &Beyond Phinda Lodge. When you are not out on a game drive or a nature walk (subject to availability) in search of incredible wildlife, enjoy the seductive comfort and uninterrupted views from the lodge. Dip in your private plunge pool or simply lounge on the deck overlooking the dense green slopes.
Day 9
Enjoy two full days of activities at Phinda Mountain Lodge (or Forest Lodge).
Enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives that continue after nightfall. &Beyond’s professionally trained guides will ask you about your favourite wildlife and will do their best to ensure that your preferences are met, whether it is tracking a particular species or spending more time enjoying each sighting and getting to know the habits of the animals. They will also tell you about the vegetation of the region and will explain the behavior of the animals that you come across. In some cases, the guides will be able to identify individual animals and let you know about their history and habits.
andBeyond Phinda Private Game Reserve is renowned for its exceptional sightings of the elusive cheetah and the rare black rhino, as well as the Big Five. There is also a number of resident lion prides and rangers will do their best to provide you with an exceptional sighting of all of these animals.
Black rhino tracking on foot can be booked at an additional cost. Slip on a pair of walking shoes and spend the morning with an expert ranger and tracker to find the rare and endangered black rhino on foot. Follow rhino tracks, recognize rhino middens and scratching posts, and read the signs of the bush in search of your quarry.
Other activities that can be booked at an additional cost include: walking safaris, photographic safari, swimming with whale sharks, Zulu village tour, Maputaland beach adventure, guided tour of the endangered wild cats project rehabilitation and breeding center.
Day 10

After breakfast and a morning activity you will be transferred to the Oyster Box Hotel where you will stay for three nights.

Nearby tourist attractions of immense interest to travelers include Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Ushaka Marine World, Sun Coast casino, the historical Natal Midlands and majestic Drakensberg Mountains and historical battlefields.

You will be collected from your hotel for your private road transfer to Durban Airport. Connect with your scheduled regional flight to Johannesburg.
