Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative and transferred by road to the One&Only Cape Town Hotel where you will stay for four nights.

The morning is at leisure to rest and adjust to the time difference.

Depart the city in the afternoon for Table Mountain’s Lower Cableway Station. Explore the mountain’s summit and absorb the breathtaking views before descending.

Return to the city via the old Cape Malay Quarter, for a walk through the Company Gardens, a fresh produce garden for ships and locals from the mid-17th Century, and now home to the South Africa Museum, Houses of Parliament, National Gallery and St George’s Cathedral. We stroll through the city to Greenmarket Square, where you can browse the bustling market stalls for beautiful and unique African mementos.

From here enjoy “sundowners” (typical South African end-of-day drinks) of sparkling wine or soft drinks whilst admiring the breathtaking views as the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean. The sundowner location will depend on the routing which is weather dependent.

Depart the city before daybreak for Simonstown harbor where you will board a boat in search of the ocean’s elusive super-predator, the Great White Shark. You will be in the capable hands of international shark experts and experienced marine biologists who interpret the wildlife spectacle as it unfolds.

These operators have studied Great Whites for decades and have produced many acclaimed wildlife documentaries showcasing the incredibly rare behaviour of breaching (launching themselves out of the water) in pursuit of prey – most commonly Cape Fur Seals. False Bay is one of the few places in the world to witness this unique behaviour. Our search for Great Whites will take us past one of their favourite haunts, Seal Island – home to some 60,000 seals and a host of sea birds. This Shark Safari focuses mainly on interaction with the sharks from the boat – with a view to observing natural predatory behavior through the use of a seal decoy. A descent into the cage to view these super-predators underwater is an awe-inspiring experience that will not soon be forgotten. (Optional)

Snacks and soft drinks are served on board. Return to port at around 12:30 pm and have the option of visiting Boulders Beach for another “creature close-up”, this time with a colony of African Penguins – the only penguins indigenous to the continent. Enjoy lunch at a coastal restaurant before entering the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National where you have a chance to see herds of Bontebok and Cape Mountain Zebra, two of the Park’s many endemic species, as well as Ostrich and the charismatic Cape Baboons.

Climb (or ride the world’s first environmentally friendly funicular) to Cape Point Lighthouse, to capture the magical vistas of False Bay, and stop at the south westernmost point of Africa: breathtaking Cape Point.

We then head home along the dramatic Atlantic seaboard and navigate the 114 curves of 600 m high Chapman’s Peak Drive passing the picturesque fishing hamlet of Hout Bay, Llandudno and Bakoven (with their ghostly shipwrecks),the towering Twelve Apostles, and on through Camps Bay and Bantry Bay.

Depart the city for the Winelands in the nearby Boland Mountains for a leisurely exploration of historic towns, liquid delights, gastronomic wonders and home-grown hospitality.

Visit Morgenster in the Helderberg region near Stellenbosch. This estate is famed for its award-winning olive oils. Sample their extra virgin, lemon-infused and white truffle oils, along with their queen and kalamata olives and olive pastes. After some wine tasting at a couple of estates which suit your preference of wine, enjoy lunch at one of the classic local restaurants in the area.

Passing through the historic town of Stellenbosch, the next stop is quaint Franschhoek, a small French town nestled in a beautiful valley. Here you will visit Huguenot Chocolates, a purveyor of fine Belgian-style chocolates, where you will gain insight into the history and process of chocolate making and enjoy a tasting of the various stages.

As you depart the valley, stop in at Terberdore for an optional coffee tasting. The final taste sensation of the day comes from Fairview, not only award-winning vintners, but also cheese-makers extraordinaire. Here you can sample a wide variety of dairy and goats milk cheeses – the ideal way to end a day.

You will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the Cape Town Airport for the flight to Johannesburg with connection to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival, after completing customs and immigration formalities, collect your luggage and proceed to the exit. Here you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative, and transferred to Victoria Falls River Lodge where you will stay for two nights.

The camp provides a daily transfer to/from Victoria Falls departing at 10:00 am and returning at 3:00 pm. The entry fee into the Rainforest is for your own account. The words of David Livingstone, “On sights as beautiful as this, angels in their flight must have gazed,” most aptly describe the beauty of this breathtaking natural world wonder. Known to the local Kololo people as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or the “smoke that thunders”, Victoria Falls is truly a sight to be taken in. Almost two km wide and 108 m high, with an average water flow of one million liters per second, Victoria Falls is nothing short of astonishing.

Your stay at Victoria Falls River Lodge includes a choice of morning or afternoon game drive, and sunrise or sunset river cruise (two game drives/cruise per day), bird watching on Kandahar Island, game viewing from the Tree Hide, or simply game viewing from the comfort of your tent.

MORNING GAME DRIVE (7:00 am-10:00 am)

For the ultimate bush experience, head out in a game-viewer to explore the 150,000 acres that make up the Zambezi National Park. Armed with hot beverages and a delicious supply of traditionally baked ‘rusks’, be the first to catch the ‘bush telegraph’s’ early broadcast of the previous night’s events.

AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE (4:00 pm-7:00 pm)

Alternatively, track a magnificent elephant herd as they move silently through the bush, or admire stately giraffe as they effortlessly weave their way through spikey acacia thicket – stopping to enjoy the phenomenal sunset with sundowners and a variety of scrumptious snacks – before returning to camp for a delicious dinner.

For the not-so-early birds, sit back and let the gentle ebb and flow of the Zambezi lull and relax you. Join in Mother Nature’s Happiest Hour by sipping on a sundowner whilst viewing her creatures, big and small, coming to the water’s edge to lap at its liquid life under molten skies.

Aside from the included activities, Victoria Falls offers a wide variety of awe-inspiring things to do (for an additional charge) and the team at Victoria Falls River Lodge will go out of their way to organize all of your activities and to make your stay as fun-filled as possible.

Perhaps you would like to see the Falls from a different perspective on a helicopter flight, or via the Flying Fox, a cable slide over the gorge! On an elephant back safari, you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with elephants before taking a ride on the back of an elephant through the natural grasslands and Mopani forest.

After the morning activity, transfer by road to Livingstone Airport, Zambia, clearing customs and immigration formalities en route. The scheduled flight from Livingstone to Nairobi, makes a stop in Harare before continuing on to Kenya. Upon arrival in Nairobi (9:55 pm) after clearing customs and immigration formalities, you will be met and transferred to The Emakoko where you will stay for one night.

Transfer to the airport for the scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro Airport, Tanzania. Upon arrival, after clearing customs and immigration formalities, you will be met by your private guide to depart for Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch before arriving at Tarangire Treetops where you will stay for two nights.

Enjoy a full day exploring this wonderful area on game drives. Expect to see any number of resident zebra and wildebeest in addition to the less common animals. Other common animals include waterbuck, giraffe, and olive baboons. Home to more than 550 species, the park is a haven for bird enthusiasts who can expect so see dozens of species even in the dry season. The swamps are the focus of the largest selection of breeding birds anywhere in the world. Yellow-collared Lovebirds are a common bird sighting in the trees along the Tarangire River.

There is no better way to up close and personal to the wild than to take a walking safari. Feels the ancient earth beneath every step you take as you tread on the tracks of animals that have walked the same path minutes before. In the company of an experienced guide, learn about the flora as well as the fauna, and begin to understand the true majesty of the indigenous peoples that live and thrive on the land.

Often taken just after dusk, a night game drive at Tarangire Treetops is a rare opportunity to see how the bush ‘comes alive’ after dark. Driving with an experienced and qualified Elewana guide, this 1.5-hour drive around the environs of Treetops provides an insight into the nocturnal wildlife that is often overlooked or not accessible to visitors who stay within the confines of the national parks. With a keen eye and unbroken concentration, there is much to see and wonder at on a Treetops night game drive.

Today, head out with your guide and a picnic lunch to Lake Manyara National Park. Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views. Its ground water forests, bush plains, baobab strewn cliffs, and algae-streaked hot springs offer incredible ecological variety in a small area, rich in wildlife and incredible numbers of birds.

The alkaline soda of Lake Manyara is home to an incredible array of bird life that thrives on its brackish waters. Pink flamingo stoop and graze by the thousands, colorful specks against the grey minerals of the lake shore. Yellow-billed storks swoop and corkscrew on thermal winds rising up from the escarpment, and herons flap their wings against the sun-drenched sky. Even reluctant bird-watchers will find something to watch and marvel at within the national park. Elephant, buffalo, zebra and giraffe are commonly found here, although the main focus of game viewing is the park’s famed tree-climbing lions that seek cover in the cool shade of high acacia branches.

Reach The Highlands, your camp located on the rim of the Olmati Crater where you will stay two nights.

After breakfast descend into Ngorongoro Crater. From the rim of the crater, view an awesome panorama of the world’s largest, unflooded and unbroken caldera. Descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. This magnificent natural amphitheater is said to have the largest concentration of animals in all of Africa, including a high density of lions and thousands of flamingos. The ever-changing mood of this great amphitheater will hold your attention every second.

Formed by the collapsed cone of a Great Rift Valley volcano some three million years ago, the Ngorongoro Crater is a spectacular natural sanctuary to more than 30,000 animals. More than 350 species of birds have been recorded. Its steep, unbroken rim plunges 2,000 feet to a 102 square mile floor. It is known as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Its vastness and beauty are truly overwhelming. Many scientists suggest that before its eruption, this volcano was larger than Mt. Kilimanjaro.

The crater contains a variety of ecosystems and an astounding concentration of birds and animals. Encounter massive herds of zebra, wildebeest, and gazelles. This area affords an opportunity to spot the Big Five, which includes African elephant, leopard, the black-maned lion, buffalo, and the rare black rhinoceros.

Transfer by road to the Manyara Airstrip for the scheduled charter flight to the Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival to the Kogetende Airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Sayari Camp where you will stay for three nights.

Sayari Camp is located in the beautiful Northern Serengeti National Park, situated close to the Mara River and the Kenya border and joining into the start of the Masai Mara eco system. The habitat around Sayari Camp is a mixture of open plains, rocky outcrops (kopjes), Acacia savanna, riverine thickets and the beautiful Mara River ecosystem. All these unique ecosystems make for excellent game viewing and different animals and vegetation can be found in all these areas. From around late/middle June to November (depending on the rainfall) the Sayari Camp area is dominated by the annual Wildebeest (White Bearded Gnu) migration in their annual trek north. The highlight this time of the year is to try and see the Wildebeest crossing the dangerous and crocodile filled Mara River heading north into Kenya and the Masai Mara.

These crossings are a must see as thousands of Wildebeest jump into the river sometimes lasting several hours. Apart from the Wildebeest the Northern Serengeti also has good numbers of predators with all the large cats present as well as a variety of smaller predators, good Elephant, Buffalo and if you are very lucky even Black Rhino together with a wealth of plains game and a prolific bird life all makes for memorable game viewing. From November to March the Wildebeest (again depending on the rainfall) start their trek back to the far

southern areas of the Serengeti and eventually to the nutritious short grass plains where they will eventually have their calves around January and February. During this time the Northern Serengeti, thanks to the short

rainy season is dominated with beautiful short green grass and flowering plants giving the impression of an English countryside. The game viewing is still fantastic with large numbers of resident plains game and all the

usual predators found in the area.

To try and see the best that Sayari Camp and the Northern Serengeti has to offer, Sayari Camp conducts early morning and afternoon/evening game drives. Game drives are conducted in comfortable open Land Cruiser

4×4 vehicles with a experienced and well trained safari guide to show you all the secrets of the African bush and its wildlife. Morning game drive safaris typically leave at around 06:30 with a choice to have breakfast in camp first, or to take a deliciously packet breakfast with you so that you can stay close to the action, and come back into camp for lunch and a siesta. Afternoon/evening game drive safaris usually depart at around 4:00pm and ended with

a beautifully setup sundowner drink to salute the setting of the African sun to be back in camp around 7:00 for dinner. Full day Game drive safaris can also be arranged with breakfast in camp and then departing camp with a packed picnic lunch to have in the bush, and returning for dinner in the later afternoon.

For those who would like an all-together different experience in the bush, and would like to get closer to nature, Sayari Camp offers morning and afternoon guided walking safaris. Walking in the African bush is a unique and rewarding experience and a chance to see and learn more about the smaller fauna and flora found in the area, many different animals and birds are also encountered on these safari walks along with the chance to sometimes get close to Africa’s big game on foot, which is an exciting and unforgettable experience. Walking safaris typically depart in the early mornings and late afternoons to avoid the hotter parts of the day and depending on the fitness level of the group can last anything from one to four hours. All walking safaris are guided by an armed, well trained and experienced walking guide as well as an armed national park ranger.

When visiting a new country its always very rewarding and a great experience to learn more about the people

who live there. Africa has many different tribes and Tanzania is no exception. Probably the most well-known tribe in east Africa is the Maasai, but at Sayari Camp you have the opportunity to meet a more little known but equally as interesting tribe called the Kuria. The Kuria people are an ethnic and linguistic group resident in the Tarime and Serengeti districts of the Mara region in Northern Tanzania, and the west and east districts of Nyanza Province in southwest Kenya. The Kuria people are mainly agriculturalists and pastoralists, and at Sayari Camp you have the opportunity to spend the day with them. Cultural visits are best done departing in the morning. The Kuria villages are situated outside the park and depending what exit gate is used can be anything from a one hour to a two and a half our drive. As many of Sayari Camp’s staff are fr om the

surrounding Kuria villages you will be joined by a staff member who will be the guide during your visit to any one of the five surrounding villages. Highlights include visiting a traditional boma, local schools, learning about their farming methods and different crops and also enjoying some traditional local dancing. Because the Kuria people have not had a lot of exposure to tourists in the past, visiting these villages is a true and authentic experience.

After the morning activity and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for the scheduled charter flight to Kilimanjaro Airport. Take the shuttle to Kia Lodge conveniently located near the airport, where a day use room is reserved for your comfort until your evening departure.
