Day 1

On arrival into Seoul, after clearing customs and immigration, proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will be met by a Luxury Trips representative for your private road transfer to Aloft Seoul Myeongdong where you will stay for four nights.

The architectural aesthetic of South Korea’s capital city reflects an enticing blend of old and new. State-of-the-art skyscrapers, glistening offices blocks and vast modern shopping centres dominate the skyline. Day 2

After breakfast you will be met by your English speaking guide in the hotel lobby for your private, Full Day Seoul Tour.

Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is also commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because its location is furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeonghuigung (Western Palace) Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of all five palaces. You will visit this palace wearing beautiful Hanbok (traditional Korean costume). (Notes: Closed on Tuesdays)

Bukchon Hanok Village is home to hundreds of traditional houses, called ‘hanok,’ that date back to the Joseon Dynasty. The name ‘Bukchon,’ which literally translates to ‘northern village,’ came about as the neighborhood lies north of two significant Seoul landmarks, Cheonggyecheon Stream and Jongno. Today, many of these hanoks operate as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants and tea houses, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience, learn and immerse in Korean traditional culture.

Insadong Street, located in the heart of the city, is an important place where old but precious and traditional goods are on display. There is one main road in Insadong with alleys on each side. Within these alleys are galleries, traditional restaurants, traditional teahouses, and cafes. There are about 100 galleries in the area and you can see every example of traditional Korean fine art from paintings to sculptures.

SM Town CoexArtium is a grand complex where you can experience the heart of K-POP cultures. SM entertainment introduced SM Town Coex Artium for people to gain knowledge and first-hand experience of celebrity lives. (Notes: Concert schedule for 2018 is not released yet.)

Day 3

After breakfast, you will be collected by your English speaking guide from your hotel for your private, Full Day DMZ Tour.

Korea is the only divided country in the world. After the Korean War (June 25, 1950 – July 27, 1953), South Korea and North Korea established a border that cut the Korean peninsula roughly in half. Stretching for 2km on either side of this border is the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). As one of the last relics of the Cold War, the DMZ attracts a great deal of public interest, and is a popular destination for travelers visiting Korea. (Notes: No tour on Mondays & National Holidays)

Imjingak Park – The 3rd Tunnel (by Monorail) – Dora Observatory – Dorasan Station – Unification Village – Imjingak Park (Notes: This course can change according to the local situation.)

Day 4

After breakfast you will meet your guide in the lobby for a Full Day Suwon/Swoul Tour. Suwon Hwaseong Fortress (**UNESCO Site) is an impressive structure from the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) and the official fortress of Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. The fortress (constructed from 1794 to 1796) was built as a show of the King’s filial piety towards his father Jangheonseja and to build a new pioneer city with its own economic power.

Wandering in the busy streets of Gangnam where you will see the “New Seoul” and mingle with the young generation of South Koreans who are there to shop, eat or just hang out. One of the must-sees of the area is the Gangnam Underground Shopping Center, very different from typical shopping centers, where you may get all the latest trendy items at reasonable prices.

Seoul Sky Observatory is located on floors 117-123 of Lotte World Tower, the Nation’s tallest and the world’s fifth tallest building. The observatory offers a panoramic view of the entire capital city, beautiful both day and night. In addition to the outstanding view, you can enjoy some small snack or coffee from the dessert cafe while sitting in the lounge or on the sky terrace.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will be collected for your private road transfer to the Gimpo Airport for your flight to Jeju Island.

On arrival you will be met by a local English speaking guide for your transfer to The Suites Jeju where you will be staying for two nights.

During your transfer you will have a private, half-day tour of Jeju.

Spirited Garden opened its doors in 1992, and is now the world’s largest botanical garden with a total landscape of approximately 39,700m². This garden is rich with maple trees, wisterias and pine trees that are between 30 to 300 years old. Roughly 100 rare species of trees can also be found in the garden. The garden possesses approximately 1,700 trees, and also boasts 100,000 of its Jeju wild flowers, orchids, and other various garden trees and plants which collectively form a unique scenic harmony.

Located on Jeju-do Island near Seogwangdawon, O’sulloc Tea Museum teaches visitors about Korea’s traditional tea culture. The “o” in “o’sulloc”, means to appreciate and enjoy, and it also stands for the origin of sulloc, only sulloc, and of sulloc tea. It seeks to harmonize the cultures of the West and East, and past traditions with the modern world.

Jeju Jungmun Resort presents the digital theme park “PLAY K-POP” where new media technology and K-pop music meet. The Live Holo Concert, a hologram concert, gives more excitement than an actual live concert. Live 360 3D, a 360-degree 3D animation video, is so real that you might feel as if the 3D images pass through your body. This interactive entertainment space also features regular exhibitions, special exhibitions, a cafe and a souvenir shop

Day 6

You will be met by your English speaking guide at your hotel lobby for your private, Full Day Tour of Jeju.

Manjanggul Cave (**UNESCO Site) is one of the finest lava tunnels in the world, and is a designated natural monument. A lava tunnel is formed when the lava that was deep in the ground spouts from the peak and flows to the surface. Manjanggul Cave has a variety of interesting structures inside including 70cm lava stalagmites and the lava tube tunnels. Only 1km of the 13,422m Manjanggul Cave is open to the tourists. There are rare animals such as bats living in the tunnel, which makes this tunnel valuable for researchers as well. The stone pillars and stalactites are widely spread and the tunnels shows off the cave’s topographical features.

Seongsan Ilchulbong Sunrise Peak (**UNESCO Site) rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. The crater is about 600m in diameter and 90m high. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village. The sunrise from the crater is magnificent.

Seopjikoji Cape: Clean and wide green fields without spread beyond the cliff to where a rock emerges. Along the road to the peak where the lighthouse stands, stonewalls block the wind which makes the walk very peaceful. Going up the steps of the lighthouse, you can have a view of the whole seashore

Day 7

After an early breakfast you will be collected from your hotel for your private transfer to the Jeju Airport for your flight to Busan.

On arrival you will be collected by a local English speaking guide for your Half Day tour of Busan.

Gamcheon Culture Villiage lead to the village’s cultural center houses a wide alleys as shown below, formed by the cascade foothills area of London called to Machu Picchu, a theme that house projects and alleyways of tours throughout the formative work experience, recreated by local residents a place where you can enjoy the sights.

Busan Air Cruise (Songdo Beach Cable Car) runs 1.62 kilometers east-to-west across the sea, from Songnim Park to Amnam Park in about eight minutes. Getting as high as 86 meters up, the cable cars offer a sweeping view from Songdo Beach to Yeongdo. “Crystal Cruise” features transparent bottoms with views of the sea underneath. Songdo Sky Park operates at the cable car station on the Amnam Park side, offering a virtual reality experience, among other activities.

You will spend the next night at Haeundae Grand Hotel.

Day 8

After breakfast & hotel check-out, you will meet your private local English speaking driving guide at the hotel lobby and then transfer to Gimhae Airport for your flight to Tokyo.

Arrive at Tokyo airport, meet our English-speaking airport staff in the arrival lobby for your private road transfer to the Imperial Hotel Tokyo where you will stay for three nights.

Day 9

After breakfast, meet your English speaking guide in the lobby for your private, Full Day Tour of Tokyo.

Start at Tokyo Tower, which is former TV tower. From the observation point, you will be able to see Greater Tokyo, Tokyo Bay, etc. Then, move to Asakusa, the oldest district in Tokyo. Walk through Kaminarimon Gate and Nakamise Shopping Arcade lined with craft and souvenir shops. Then, visit Sensoji, the oldest temple in Tokyo. After that, you will be escorted to Imperial Palace Double Bridges. Visit Ginza, the most sophisticated shopping streets in Japan. According to your interests, your guide is happy to show you the boutiques and galleries. End the tour at your hotel.

Day 10

In the morning meet your English-speaking guide in the hotel lobby for your second private, Full Day Tokyo Tour. Start at Meiji Shrine which is the most worshiped shrine in Japan. After that, walk through Harajuku, the centre of youth culture. Not only new-to-come designer boutiques, but also you will be able to find a variety of shops loved by teenagers, incl. 100 JPY shop. After that, walk through trendy Omotesando street lined with international & Japanese brand boutiques. You will be escorted to Oriental Bazarr and Kiddy Land as well. After that, walk through the largest pedestrian crossings in the world, located in front of Shibuya Terminal. Your guide will show you Shibuya Centre gai, where teenagers are gathering after school.

Day 11

After breakfast, meet your English-speaking escort staff in the hotel lobby for your transfer to Shinjuku station by private car. Get on an express train to Matsumoto (2.5 hours, 1st class). Meet our English-speaking guide on the platform of Matsumoto station, and tour by private car.

Drive to the largest wasabi farm in outer area of Matsumoto. Thanks to the pristine water flowing from the Japan Alps, the farm has been producing quality wasabi. Try refreshing wasabi soft ice cream. Also you will find a variety of wasabi related products such as snack, cosmetics, pickles, chocolates, etc. After that, move to Matsumoto city centre, and you will be escorted to Matsumoto Castle registered as the National Treasure. Walk through local street lined with craft and souvenir shops. You will end your tour at the Matsumoto Marunouchi Hotel where you will stay for one night.

Day 12

Meet your English-speaking driver at the hotel, and private transfer to Matsumoto station. Get on the express train to Nagoya (2 hours, 1st class). Then, meet your English-speaking station staff at Nagoya and you will be escorted to the bullet train platform. Get on a bullet train to Kyoto (1.5 hours, 1st class).

On arrival, meet your English-speaking guide on the platform of Kyoto station and enjoy Kyoto tour by private car. Start at Sanjusangendo which boasts the longest wooden hall with a thousand of Buddha statues. It is believed to find the statue with similar face to you. Then, move to Fushimi Shrine with mysterious thousands of red torii gates which were donated by worshipers. Your guide will show you how to pray in the traditional way. You will conclude your tour at the Surian Hotel where you will stay for two nights.

Day 13

Meet your English-speaking guide in the hotel lobby . Start at Kinkakuji, Golden Pavilion which is registered as the UNESCO World Heritage site. The shogun established this temple covered with gold leaf in order to show his prosperity and wealth. Then, move to Arashiyama district in Kyoto’s mountain side. Experience 30 minute rickshaw ride through Bamboo grove. Then, you will be escorted to Tenryuji, one of the important zen temples in Japan. Walk through picturesque Togetsukyo Bridge over river. Also, you will be escorted to Arashiyama Monkey Park. From the top of hill, you will be able to see Arashiyama mountains. Return to Kyoto city centre, and if time still allows, you will visit Pontocho, small bar alley. End of tour at your hotel.

Day 14

After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel for your private transfer to the Kyoto Station. Get on the bullet train to Hiroshima. On arrival you will be met for your private road tour of Hiroshima.

Start at Peace Memorial Park. You will be escorted to Peace Memorial Museum and Atomic Bomb Dome, registered as the UNESCO World Heritage site, which commemorates the catastrophe back in 1945. Your guide will also show you monuments praying for eternal peace as well as observation floor overlooking Atomic Bomb Dome. End the tour at the Sheraton Grande Hiroshima Hotel where you will spend two nights.

Day 15

Meet your English-speaking guide in the hotel lobby. Transfer to Miyajima pier by private car. Take a ferry (free seating) to Miyajima Island. Miyajima Island, registered as the UNESCO World Heritage site boasts Itsukushima Shrine as if it looked floating in the sea. Then, enjoy a short walk to the foot of Mt. Misen, and get on a gondola to the mountain top. From the observation point, you will be able to see Greater Hiroshima, Seto Inland Sea, oyster farms etc. After that, return to the foot, and you will be escorted to a temple which boasts thousands of Buddha stone statues in their garden. Also you will be escorted to craft and souvenir shops on the island. Return to Hiroshima city centre by ferry and private car.

Located just off the coast of Hiroshima, the serenely beautiful island of Miyajima is considered one of the crown jewels of Japan. Known as ‘The Island of Gods’ due to its abundance of well-preserved shrines and temples, Miyajima is best known for its remarkable floating Itsukushima Shrine boasting a majestic vermilion gate which rises up out of the calm sea. Miyajima’s only village retains a classically Japanese Edo-era look featuring a particularly attractive seafront promenade. The nearby main shopping street, Omotesando, is lined with charming shops and restaurants serving an array of traditional Japanese culinary delights. Spend your days lazing on the idyllic beaches; hiking in the virgin forest of Mount Misen, whose summit provides panoramic views across the Inland Sea; or exploring the wide range of traditional cultural sites on offer.

Day 16

Meet your English-speaking escort staff at the hotel lobby. Walk to the station (5 mins). Get on a bullet train to Odawara via Nagoya (3.5 hours, 1st class). Arrive at Odawara station, and meet your English-speaking guide on the platform.

Enjoy Hakone tour by private car. You will be escorted to Lake Ashi, historical checking point to learn the travel style in samurai period, and Owakudani Volcanic vent. In Owakudani, try 1 black egg which is believed to make your life 7 years longer. Arrive at your ryokan. (Enjoy hot spring bath attached to your guest room, Full-course Japanese dinner and breakfast will be served.)

Hakone is a city in Japan that lies within the borders of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu national park in the Ashigarashimo District of Kanagawa Prefecture. Tourists specifically travel here for the spectacular views of Mount Fuji. Other attractions in the area include walks to Hakone Shrine on the shore of Lake Ashi, day-trips through the Hakone Open-Air Museum and explorations to Mount Kintoki to view the ruins of old-Japan. No visit is complete without eating a black egg hard-boiled in the Great Boiling Valley of Owakudani. Legend has it that these eggs add some extra years to your lifespan.

Lake Ashinoko formed after Mount Hakone’s last eruption 3000 years ago. The lake has become the symbol of Hakone, with Mount Fuji in the background. The region surrounding the lake is generally undeveloped, featuring small towns in the east and north and a few lakeside resorts.

Day 17

In the morning, meet your guide in the lobby for your private, transfer/tour to the Disneyland Area. Move to Mt. Fuji area (1 hour). You will be escorted to Mt. Fuji 5th station. You will be escorted to Komitake Shrine worshipped by mountain climbers. Then, visit a kimono museum established by Kubota Icchiku, contemporary kimono designer who is highly reputed in Europe. His masterpieces include Mt. Fuji Design. Also, you will be escorted to Mt. Fuji World Heritage centre.

End the tour at the Disney Ambassador Hotel where you will spend two nights.

Just to the east of the Tokyo metropolitan area, the Chiba Prefecture of Japan is surrounded by sea and rivers, creating picturesque landscapes and quality produce. Largely consisting of the rural Boso Peninsula, Chiba offers an abundance of nature and a taste of traditional Japanese life. Nature enthusiasts can wander through lush rice fields, visit the national parks or surf the sandy beaches a mere ninety minutes from Tokyo. Visit the 10th-century Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple, revel at the Tokyo Disney Resort, or walk along the Kujūkuri Beach that stretches along the Pacific Coastline. Other popular activities in the area include discovering Japanese culture and history at the National Museum of Japanese History, marvelling at the masterpieces on display at the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art or, or exploring exquisite Japanese castles in Sekiyado and Otaki.

Mount Fuji is Japan’s highest mountain and most famous landmark, lying within the borders of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. It is known as one of the “Three Holy Mountains” and legend has it that Mount Fuji was a samurai training ground. Although the mountain can be seen from certain points in Tokyo, it is best viewed from Hakone, Kawaguchiko, Kamakura, Enoshima or Gotemba. The official climbing season starts early July to mid-September for those who wish to hike the 3776 metres to the top. Sunrise from the summit is one of the most sought after views in Japan. Visitors have a wide selection of hiking trails to choose from including the Yoshida, Subashiri, Gotemba and Fujinomiya Trails.

Day 18

Enjoy Disneyland Tokyo on your own account.

Tickets can be purchased at your hotel.

Tokyo Disneyland is located at the Tokyo Disney Resort in the Chiba Prefecture outside Tokyo and is considered to be the most popular theme park in Japan. In fact, after the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney Resort in Florida, Tokyo Disneyland is the second most visited theme park in the world. The park includes seven themed areas as well as hotels, shops and restaurants and the Cinderella Castle, Space Mountain, and Star Tours are some of the highlights of the park. Magic shows, costume parades and evenings under the lights are also featured.

Day 19

You will be collected from your hotel to transfer to the Narita Airport for your flight to Beijing. On arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to Beijing Novotel Peace Hotel where you will spend three nights.

Spend the afternoon resting at your leisure.

Day 20

You will visit to the magnificent Great Wall (Mutianyu section with round trip cable car, and then you will visit the Sacred Road.

Great Wall (Mutianyu Section): The most famous symbol of China and one of the world’s most remarkable architectural wonders, it was built over 2,000 years ago and stretching about 6,700km.

Mutianyu Cable Car (round way): Round-way cable car of Mutianyu Great Wall included. Chair-lift and Toboggan are also available. If you want to change to any of them, please inform the local guide before he or she purchases the tickets for round-trip cable car for you. Please pay the extra charge in cash to the local guide.

Sacred Road: the path lined with stone statues of animals, mystical beasts and officials who serve the emperor in his afterlife, through which the sitting emperors would go to perform memorial rituals for the ancestors once a year.

The Great Wall of China is not a continuous wall but is a collection of short walls which stretches over 8 850km from Shanhaiguan in the east to Lop Lake in the west. It was built thousands of years ago and has undergone much renovation since the 5th Century.

Day 21

On this day you will first visit Tiananmen Square followed by the magnificent Forbidden City. In the afternoon you will marvel at the incredible Temple of Heaven.

Tiananmen Square: It is the largest city square in the world and the spiritual heart of China, where the national flag is raised exactly at sunrise every day.

The Forbidden City: It is located in the center of Beijing, used to be the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years, it is the grandest integral palace complex still remaining in China. (Note: It is closed on Monday)

Temple of Heaven: It is the place which was visited yearly by the emperors who performed intricate rituals to insure a good harvest for the whole nation at ancient times.

One of the largest and most famous public squares in the world. It was named after Tiananmen Gate or “Gate of Heavenly Peace”. The square has great historical significance and has played witness to several important events in China’s history. Tiananmen Gate separates the square from the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City served as the imperial palace for nearly 500 years and was home to 24 Chinese between 1420 and 1911. The Forbidden City is now known as the Palace Museum. It is the world’s largest surviving palace complex, about the size of 72 soccer fields.

Day 22

After breakfast, you will visit the exquisite Summer Palace. In the afternoon you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Xian. Upon arriving in Xian, your local guide will meet you and escort you to the Grand Noble Hotel Xian where you will stay for two nights.

Summer Palace (included boat cruise): Located on the northwestern outskirts of the city, it was an imperial summer resort of the Qing Dynasty. With its perfect layout, magnificent buildings and enchanting landscape, it is the most splendid classical garden in China.

Located in the center of the Weihe Plain, bounded by the Weihe River in the north and the Qin Mountain Range in the south, Xian is the undisputed root of Chinese civilization and an important economic, cultural, industrial center of the central-northwest region. The city provides visitors with modern facilities as well as numerous world-class ancient, religious, and cultural attractions showcasing the great changes of the country just like a living history book . Must see attractions include the Tomb of Emperor Jingdi, the immaculately restored and mighty city wall, and of course, the primary attraction, the astonishing display of approximately 2,000 life-like terracotta warriors, horses and chariots. The assemblage has been billed by the tourist industry as the Eighth Wonder of the World and a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO in 1987. For those seeking a unique, authentic and fascinating cultural experience, Xian won’t fail to impress.

Day 23

Today you will visit the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors. After that you will also visit The Ancient City Walls and Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Terracotta Warriors : Discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century. These 6,000 life-size painted terracotta warriors and horses –individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history—Emperor QinShihuang since 2,200 years ago.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda: regarded by many as a symbol of the city, the pagoda was built in 652 A.D in Tang Dynasty to house the sutras brought back from India by the famous monk Xuan-zang.

The Ancient City Walls: It is built during the 14th century on Tang Dynasty foundations, date to the Ming Dynasty. The walls are the largest and best-preserved ancient fortress in the world. There is a gate in each of the four sides, the gate towers built over each gate look lofty and magnificent and form a tight defense engineering system. After the extension, the wall now stands 12 meters (40 feet) tall, 12-14 meters (40-46 feet) wide at the top and 15-18 meters (50-60 feet) thick at the bottom. It covers 13.7KM (8.5 miles) in length with a deep moat surrounding it.

Day 24

After breakfast you will be collected for your Day Tour of The Great Mosque and visit the local Muslim community. After the tour, be transferred to the airport for your flight to Chengdu. Upon your arrival, be met and transferred to Tibet Hotel Chengdu where you will stay for two nights.

Great Mosque: the largest mosque in Xi’an and one of the four grand Islamic mosques in China with more than 1200 years’ history, the mosque possesses not only traditional Chinese architectural style, but also features peculiar to Islamic mosques and now it is a major spot for religious activities of 50,000 Muslims in Xi’an.

Muslim Street: also known as Beiyuanmen Street, is the center of the sizable Chinese-Muslim community in Xian. Visitors will pass through a narrow bazaar street linked with shops selling a large variety of interesting local delicacies, snacks and souvenirs. It is also packed with small restaurants serving typical Muslim food.

The city of Chengdu is the capital of southwestern China’s Sichuan province and it serves as a popular transport hub for the entire region. The city is known for its wonderfully relaxing teahouse culture, its extraordinarily spicy culinary scene, and its vibrant nightlife which is bolstered by the large numbers of student and expats who call Chengdu home. The main attraction is undoubtedly the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, a conservation center where visitors can view endangered giant pandas in their natural habitat. Other must see sights include the Jinsha Site Museum which displays artifacts from the Shu Kingdom, many of which date back as far as the 4th century B.C.

Day 25

On this day, you will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, followed by a trip to the Wenshu Temple where you can spend some time sitting in its tea house enjoying a cup of traditional Chinese tea and absorb the special atmosphere of Chengdu and Jinli Old Street.

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, or simply Chengdu Panda Base, is a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. It is located in Chengdu, Sichuan, People’s Republic of China. Because many of the pandas are in their private enclosures, you usually cannot see all of them amuse themselves outside. To see as much as pandas, be sure to go early, better around 8am. Usually 8am-9am is the most active time of pandas. Lucky enough you can see how adult and baby pandas are fed during these hours, which you cannot see in common zoos. Your visit at Giant Panda Research includes the following items: you will get a chance to see a panda keeper to feed the pandas by hand in the morning, such as: carrot, apples, panda bread, biscuit and bamboo. And then you will visit the pandas’ enclosures and the new baby pandas’ room. After that, you will see a short Panda’s movie and visit the Panda museum, etc.

Wenshu Temple: Chengdu’s oldest and largest Buddhist temple originally built in Tang Dynasty, however, it is now a Qing Dynasty construction with exquisite relief carvings decorating many of the buildings. You can absorb the very atmosphere of Chengdu here: the temple is full of local worshippers burning incense on certain days, the tea house at the back of the complex is a great place to relax yourself and do some people watching, while the streets outside are filled with blind fortune-tellers, hawkers selling joss sticks, paper money and statues, and so on.

Teahouses: Chengdu is one of the few remaining cities in China with a really authentic tea house (Chadian) culture, thousands of teahouses dotted about Chengdu are hugely popular with locals, especially the elderly. Teahouses throughout the city are still important locations for social gatherings. Its distinct and unique atmosphere will let you get a good feel for Chengdu.

Jinli Old Street: Located in Chengdu combines the ambience of ancient and modern China. Jinli Old Street was constructed in 2004 in the traditional architectural style of Sichuan Province during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Jinli Old Street is not only a wonderful reminder China’s past, but also a great place for people to fully appreciate Sichuan’s customs, and folk arts.

Day 26

You will have the morning at leisure before you are collected for your flight to Shanghai.

Upon your arrival at Shanghai, China’s most cosmopolitan city, your personal guide will meet you and escort you to The Bund Hotel where you will spend two nights. The rest of the day is yours to relax.

Day 27

After breakfast, you will visit the Shanghai Museum(including the translator), Yu Garden, Yu Market, Jiangnan Silk Workshop, the Bund and then enjoy a bird’s eye view of the modern Shanghai from the Shanghai World Financial Center.

Shanghai Museum (including the translator): Often ranked as China’s best museum, it is the biggest museum in China with a fine collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese artifacts.

Note: Since the guides are not allowed to give speeches at Shanghai Museum, we will rent a translator for you instead. The Translator has English, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and Italian for your choice.

Yu Garden: Located in the Old Town of Shanghai and laid out in 1559 AD by a powerful Ming official, Yu Garden recreates a beautiful landscape of pagodas, pavilions, rockeries, fountains, ancient trees and precious flowers.

Yuyuan Market: Outside the Yu Garden, a bustling market with different snacks and trinkets.

Silk Workshop (factory): Chinese silk has surprised the world through the ancient Silk Road. How small cocoons transformed into elegant silk and embroideries has for long time been described as a magical process. When visit the workshop/factory, you will see a variety of skills used for producing the dazzling silk items. It is also a good place to find worthwhile souvenirs for your families and friends.

The Bund: Where the great trading houses and banks had their headquarters in 1920s and 1930s, about a mile long, it is the city’s fulcrum.

Shanghai World Financial Center: It is one of the top high skyscraper in the world. It has 101 floors and 1614 feet above the ground. You can get the cool feeling of having a bird’s eye view of Shanghai by standing on 100th floor’s glass overbridge.
