Belmond Copacabana Palace

Superbly positioned overlooking the sea, this glamorous landmark in Rio has been welcoming the rich and famous since its Art Deco doors swung open in 1923. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers danced here and the Rolling Stones tuned up in its grand salon before their concert on the beach.The magnificent pool, with its adjacent super-cool Bar do Copa, are where Brazil’s style setters gather to soak up the sun. The hotel’s restaurants are also destinations in themselves, whether for great local dishes or fine Italian dining in Hotel Cipriani Restaurant.The Copacabana Palace has 245 rooms and suites in total, 147 are found in the Main Building, of which 71 are suites and 76 are bedrooms. The brand new accommodations with city view, located in the Tower Wing Building, comprising a total of 58 suites and 40 bedrooms.Each of them is individually designed with fine period furniture and original works of art, giving a elegant yet relaxed ambiance. Views are either of the world-famous Copacabana beach, or towards the city.

Rooms

City View Room

Located in the Main Building from 1st to 5th floors and in the Tower Wing Building, City View Rooms face towards the city and measure on average 30m² (323ft²). All City View Rooms offer King or Twin beds and feature the trademark high ceilings of the Main Building at the Copacabana Palace. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms which vary in size depending on the location of the room. The majority have a bath with shower above, although some City View Rooms feature shower only. Exclusive Copacabana Palace Bathroom Products are available in all rooms and suites.

Beach View Room

Beach View Rooms are located in the Main Building of the Copacabana Palace. These spacious rooms have stunning views of the world-famous Copacabana Beach and some feature Juliet-style balconies. The average size of a Beach View Room is 38m² (410ft²) and all have King or Twin beds. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms which feature a bath with shower above or separate bath and shower. Exclusive Copacabana Palace Bathroom Products are available in all rooms and suites.

Pool & Ocean View Suites

These suites were designed by the Orient-Express French designer, Michel Jouannet. Located in the Tower Wing Building, these spacious suites measure around 74m² (798ft²) and make ideal accommodation for longer stays.Each suite comprises of a comfortable sitting room, with an adjoining private balcony overlooking the pool and the Copacabana beach beyond.The beds in the bedroom have especially comfortable Sealy orthopaedic pillow top mattresses and are made up with the exceptionally fine Troussardi bed linen.All Pool & Ocean View Suites have bathrooms with separate shower and bath. Some also feature a small kitchen area, making ideal accommodation for families as simple meals can be prepared in the suite.

Penthouse Suites

The stunning Penthouse Suites, which are located on the 6th floor, measure more than 100m² (1.076ft²). Penthouse Suites can also be joined to provide up to 220m² (2.152ft²) of space. The suites have king-sized beds and have been decorated with works of art, exotic carpets and French fabrics making the ultimate in luxury and sophistication accommodation at the Copacabana Palace. Penthouse Suites feature beautiful marble bathrooms with bath and separate shower. There are seven Penthouse Suites in total, all with a private terrace. Six of the Penthouses have views towards to Copacabana beach and one has views towards the city of Rio. The Penthouse Floor has a swimming pool area with a wet bar which is exclusively available for residents of the Penthouse Suites offering supreme privacy and exclusivity and one of the best views in Rio. A Butler Service is also available for guests resident in our Penthouse Suites, a service included in the nightly room rate.
