King’s Pool

Place: Named for Scandinavian royalty, this stylish camp overlooks the oxbow-shaped King’s Pool Lagoon and Linyanti River system. Activities include day and night game drives, guided nature walks, and nearby hides, ideal for photographing birds and wildlife. In the dry season, guests can spend their siesta watching game come down to drink at the unique underground hide, where the water is at eye level. Seeing elephant feet and trunks almost within touching distance while safely inside is an experience that transcends that of an ordinary safari.Accommodation: Seven well-appointed twins and one suite, all of canvas, wood and thatch, soak up the views of the lagoon. The main area, deck and bar offer uninterrupted views, with closer proximity to the water, while parts of the roof extend down to ensure privacy. 01 x suite consisting of two separate rooms (sleeping four in total) each with own en-suite facilities, sharing a private plunge pool and outdoor sunken lounge. Bookable by families or ideal for parties of four adults travelling together or a couple preferring more spare and luxury – while one bedroom is slightly smaller and without and outdoor shower, it is a standard guest tent and not only for children.
